Kingdom Hall Timer App One of the functions of SoundBox is timing. There are several timers with a preset time for each talk. Times can be shown on a rear-of-hall monitor for the speaker to see. Using SoundBox Timer, timers can be started, stopped and reset remotely by an assigned person in the Kingdom Hall audience. A two-way link with SoundBox means that operation may be carried out at the PC or the mobile. The Kingdom Hall timer bell can be remotely sounded for student talks.
While you’re here . . . The Covid 19 pandemic has given me opportunity to do research on the Evolution / Creation debate. This is something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time, as I love science and feel very strongly that there’s a lot of new science that undermines old-school evolution theory. This has not been clearly communicated to many. It’s been interesting and enlightening for me. I hadn’t realised how much things had changed over the last decade. I’ve summarised these changes in a discussion document that can be downloaded - see link above. The document has appendices that cover the subject in more technical detail. It includes brief discussions of Richard Dawkins’ famous books and shows how they are looking increasingly out of date in the light of new science. There are many references to main-stream science articles and papers. The document is updated periodically. If it’s useful to anybody, that would be great. :-)
